Frequently Asked Questions

1. What happens if an employee turns up late or misses their slot?

To keep things fair and protect the structural office schedule, if a Participant is late or misses their slot, that time is lost. I cannot extend the day, run over time, or issue partial refunds because an engineer was stuck on an overrunning call.

2. Do my employees need to change clothes or bring anything?

No. This on-site chair massage service is performed fully clothed on a specialised ergonomic chair, and without any oils.

3. How much space do you actually need in our office?

Very little. I require at least a 2×2 metre floor space in a safe, low-traffic area to safely set up the chair and move unhindered around it. Any small meeting room or quiet office corner works perfectly.

4. Which areas of London do these passes cover?

My on-site chair massage services cover office locations situated strictly within London Transport Zones 1 to 4. If your office is located outside of these zones, please contact me via WhatsApp or email before purchasing a pass to see if I can accommodate your location.

5. How long do we have to use the Pass once we buy it?

Every digital pass is an asset valid for exactly six (6) months from the date of purchase. This gives you total flexibility to lock in the perfect day for your office, while ensuring you don’t leave your budget sitting unused forever. Unused passes past this date expire automatically and possess a cash value of £0.

6. Can we split the Pass across two different days?

No. The total hours secured by your pass (3-Hour, 4-Hour, or 7-Hour blocks) must be delivered in a single, continuous on-site session on one day. If you want to distribute appointments across separate days to accommodate different team shifts, you must purchase separate passes for each individual office visit.

7. Is this service fully tax-deductible for my business?

Workplace wellness and staff welfare initiatives are widely treated as a deductible business expense in the UK. The moment your company card clears via Stripe, an automated VAT-compliant receipt hits your inbox instantly for your expenses. Please consult your company accountant or finance team regarding your specific corporation tax parameters.

8. What if I need to reschedule our confirmed booking date?

I understand that office priorities change. You can reschedule your confirmed on-site session completely free of charge one (1) time, provided you give me at least 7 full days’ (168 hours) notice via WhatsApp or email. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 7 days’ notice cannot be accommodated, the session will be forfeited and your Pass Code will be marked as redeemed.

9. Are you fully insured?

Yes, absolutely. BEAT THE KNOT™ holds comprehensive Public Liability Insurance that covers mobile workplace treatments. Your business is 100% legally protected from the moment I step through your office doors.

10. Can I use one Pass for two therapists working at the same time?

No. Every Team Pass secures my dedicated time for your office, meaning treatments are delivered sequentially by me. If your office is exceptionally large and you require a multi-chair setup with separate practitioners working simultaneously, please contact me via WhatsApp before purchasing to discuss a bespoke corporate arrangement.

11. What happens if I buy a pass and my office is outside of London?

If you purchase a pass for an office completely outside of my serviceable London zones without prior written confirmation, the booking cannot be fulfilled. The transaction will be immediately cancelled and refunded minus a strict £25 administrative and payment-processing fee to cover third-party transaction charges. Please check your zone before using the company card.

12. Do you offer monthly subscriptions or long-term contracts?

Contracts? No. Subscriptions? Potentially. I do not lock clients into 12-month contracts. If you would like to arrange recurring visits—whether weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly—we can discuss a rolling arrangement, but only after completing an initial session to ensure our service aligns with your workplace requirements.

13. Is there anyone who CANNOT receive a chair massage?

Yes. While the service is safe, non-invasive, and performed fully clothed, we strictly respect standard UK medical and insurance guidelines. A Participant cannot receive the massage if they hold any of the following absolute medical contraindications:

  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or a documented history of blood clots.
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure or acute cardiovascular conditions.
  • An active fever, contagious virus, or flu-like symptoms on the day of the session.
  • Recent major surgery (within the last 2 years) or minor operations (within the last 6 months).
  • Open wounds, recent whiplash, fractures, or active skin infections on the back, neck, or shoulders.

If a Participant has an underlying chronic illness or is undergoing active medical sessions, they must present clear approval from their GP before taking a seat.

14. What about pregnancy? Can pregnant employees use the pass?

Only if they are past their first trimester (12 weeks) and experiencing zero complications. As a strict safety standard in the UK wellness sector, massage are not provided during the first trimester. For employees between 13 and 40 weeks, the routine will be adapted to be light, comfortable, and completely safe for prenatal care. If an employee is experiencing a high-risk pregnancy, they must sit this one out.

15. Do employees need to fill out a form before their session?

Yes. No form, no insurance cover, no massage. Before sitting in the chair, every Participant must complete and sign a brief physical consultation form on the day regarding their medical indicators. This takes less than a minute, but it is a strict requirement for my public liability insurance policy. If an employee refuses to complete the form, I cannot provide the service, and that specific 20-minute slot will unfortunately be lost.
