Welcome to BEAT THE KNOT™. BEAT THE KNOT™ is the trading name of Maria Fernandez, operating as a Sole Trader in London, UK. By purchasing a digital Team Pass from our website or booking an office session, you (the “Client”) agree to be fully bound by these Terms & Conditions. For the purposes of this contract, employees, contractors, and staff members utilizing the service are referred to as “Participants”.
1. The Business Model: Digital Passes Only
BEAT THE KNOT™ operates strictly on a pre-paid digital pass system managed securely by our third-party processors (Gift Up! and Stripe).
We do not issue custom corporate quotes, we do not participate in prolonged procurement feedback loops, and we do not sign traditional 12-month HR contracts.
One Pass per Therapist: Every Team Pass represents the dedicated booking time of exactly one (1) massage therapist. If the Client requires multiple therapists on-site simultaneously, must contact us first to discuss a bespoke arrangement.
2. Boundary Rules for London Postcodes & Administrative Fees
Our standard pass rates cover office locations situated strictly within London Transport Zones 1 to 4.
If the Client’s office is located in Zones 5 or 6, or outside our standard service boundary, the Client must message via WhatsApp prior to purchasing to verify calendar availability and arrange a travel surcharge.
The Out-of-Zone Resolution: If the Client purchases a pass for an office completely outside of our serviceable London zones without prior written confirmation, the booking cannot be fulfilled. The transaction will be cancelled and refunded minus a strict £15 administrative and payment-processing fee.
3. Booking and Calendar Logistics
Once a pass is purchased, the Client can book their office massage session by sending a WhatsApp or email containing their unique Pass code.
Dates are coordinated manually and locked into our diary on a first-come, first-served basis.
Every Team Pass is valid for exactly six (6) months from the date of purchase. Unused passes past this date will expire automatically, possess a cash value of £0, and cannot be refunded, extended, or exchanged.
4. The 20-Minute Timetable & Participant Lateness
We operate on a strict 20-minute slot per person using a digital schedule link provided to the Client prior to the session.
Forfeited Time: To protect the structural office schedule, if a Participant is late or misses their allocated 20-minute slot, that specific time is lost. BEAT THE KNOT™ cannot run over time, extend the working day, or offer a partial refund due to internal office delays, overrunning meetings, or operational disruptions.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling (The 7-Day Rule)
We know office priorities change, but our diary fills up fast. The Client can reschedule a confirmed booking date completely free of charge one (1) time, provided written notice is given via WhatsApp or email at least seven (7) full days (168 hours) prior to the scheduled session.
Cancellations, date changes, or rescheduling requests made with less than seven (7) days’ notice cannot be accommodated. Because our diaries are blocked exclusively for your business, late cancellations result in the immediate forfeiture of the session, the digital Pass Code will be permanently marked as fully redeemed, and no refunds or replacement dates will be issued.
6. Health Consultation Forms & Contraindications
Mandatory Screening: For insurance compliance, every single participating employee must fully complete and sign a physical Health Consultation Form on the day of the session, prior to sitting in the chair.
If a Participant refuses to complete the form, or holds an absolute medical contraindication (including but not limited to deep vein thrombosis (DVT), active fever, or being in their first trimester of pregnancy), BEAT THE KNOT™ will refuse treatment for safety reasons. That specific 20-minute slot will be lost, and no partial refunds will apply.
7. Office Space Requirements
The Client is strictly responsible for providing an adequate, low-traffic, and safe environment for the session. We require a minimum physical floor space of 2×2 metres.
Any small or quiet meeting room, works perfectly, provided there is enough space for the therapist to safely set up the specialized chair and move unhindered around it.
8. The Satisfaction Guarantee & Refund Parameters
Conditions of the Guarantee: Our 100% money-back guarantee applies strictly to the professional quality of the physical treatment delivered on the day. To trigger a refund request under this guarantee, the Client must notify us in writing via WhatsApp within twenty-four (24) hours of the session’s completion, detailing the specific operational or professional failure of the service. Validated claims will be refunded directly back to the original company payment card.
Exclusions to the Guarantee: Refunds under the guarantee will be strictly denied under the following logistical circumstances:
- Unused Time: No partial or full refunds will be issued for unallocated slots, empty timetable spaces, or Participant absences on the day.
- Screening Exclusions: No refunds apply if a Participant is turned away due to a refusal to sign the physical Health Consultation Form or due to a medical contraindication.
